Understanding the Challenges

Supporting Families Through the Realities of Resettlement

Many African families face significant challenges when adjusting to life in the United States, including food insecurity, housing instability, language barriers, and difficulty navigating complex systems. Awane of Boston exists to bridge these gaps through culturally responsive services rooted in compassion, respect, and community partnership.

Our work focuses on helping individuals and families meet their basic needs while connecting them with essential services and resources. Through support such as food and emergency essentials, case management, service navigation, housing guidance, employment readiness, and community education, we help families move from immediate challenges toward greater stability and independence.

Building Pathways to Self-Sufficiency

Awane of Boston serves African individuals and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, helping them move from crisis toward stability and independence.

By combining direct assistance with resource navigation, advocacy, employment support, and community education, our approach addresses both immediate needs and the challenges that can affect long-term stability.

Together, we are building stronger, healthier communities.
